Madi Moyer (they/them)

Licensed Massage Therapist

Community Herbalist

Educator

My name is Madi (they/them).  I am a massage therapist, community herbalist and educator.

I’m a graduate of the Florida School of Massage (Summer 2019). I offer queer centered, trauma informed massage and bodywork drawing from my training in connective tissue therapy, neuromuscular therapy, Swedish massage, manual lymphatic drainage, ortho-bionomy and trauma informed care. I view massage as a collaboration between myself and my clients and I consider my clients the experts on their own bodies. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to work with many people with a wide range of bodies and experiences. My hope is that through our work together my clients will feel more ease and connection with their bodies.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist I worked in environmental education and taught hands-on science to young people in classrooms, after-school programs and vegetable gardens. I’ve recently reconnected with my love of teaching and as of September 2022 I am thrilled to be on the faculty at the Florida School of Massage teaching Anatomy and Physiology.

In addition to my studies of massage and anatomy, my understanding of (and many curiosities about) bodies is shaped by my background as a yoga teacher and my studies of clinical and spiritual herbalism.

My work is grounded in a social justice ethic and I imagine a world where receiving regular bodywork is an accessible option to anyone who wants and needs it, especially teachers, activists/organizers, people of color, queer and trans community, low-income folks and elders. In that spirit I offer a sliding scale for my massage work – 60 minute sessions for $50-90 and 90 minute sessions for $80-120.

If you think we would connect, please reach out.  I would love to work with you!
